The Bridge has a community development approach to many activities. This means that you as a community member can be involved in helping us to create a sustainable centre for all to enjoy. Throughout the year we are involved in many projects and events;
COMMUNITY events

Family Open Afternoon

This term saw over 100 new community members visit our centre to enjoy our ‘Family Open Afternoon’.

There was a chance for local families to try out activities and enjoy a BBQ in the garden. We would also like to thank the Mayor of Brighton & Hove, Geoff Wells, who kindly offered his support by presenting our volunteer team with Certificates of Achievement.

Wild about Photography Open day

In May of this year and we engaged 18 keen photographers of all abilities in a photography nature walk.

The day was arranged to give potential photographers from the area an opportunity to find out about our Digital photography Community Group. This brand new group is currently being developed by past students of the ‘introduction to digital photography’ course who wanted to continue their learning and socialising locally. Thank you to the local Wildlife Trust for their support.

For more information regarding the Bridge Digital photography group, call 294930.

Be Crafty Community Arts Group

Earlier this year, members of our Art Journal class got together to form ‘Be Crafty’ community Arts Group. They support us at our events by providing Art activities for the community and fundraise to add activities to our programmes. We are proud to say that they have successfully secured £3000 from Nova Scarman to provide after school clubs for the young people in the local community from September.

Well done to them for their hard work and commitment!
