Fees

Fees are based on where you live and any benefits you may claim. Applicable fees are listed under each course
Code A  - Full course fee
Code B  - East Brighton Resident’s rate
Code C – Concessions

If you are in receipt of a means tested benefit and wish to claim for a concessionary rate or would like to claim the Bridge Community rate, you will need to provide evidence of your eligibility.


Please bring one of the following documents along to enrolment.

To claim this reduction please bring in proof that you live in:

IS/HB/CTB letter dated within 3 months showing your details or letter older than 3 months supported by bank statement detailing benefit payments (ES40 JSA benefit book not acceptable)

Unwaged Dependant
As above but letter must state you as a named dependant

Working Tax Credit
(excludes Child Tax Credit)
Original current year inland revenue WTC award notice (TC602) showing your details and that total annual income is less than £15,050

Guarantee Pension Credit
Original current year GPC award notice showing your details (Acceptable together with Savings Pension Credit although this is not acceptable on its own)

Supported Asylum Seekers/Refugees
Letter or notice proving receipt of means tested benefit or equivalent dated within 3 months or letter older than 3 months supported by a current bank statement or Post Office receipts showing regular receipt of benefit.

Incapacity Benefit and Disability Living Allowance
Unfortunately, as these benefits are not means tested, they will not qualify you for course concessions.


Cancellation & refunds

If the course provider cancels the course, a full refund will be available.
If you withdraw or do not attend your course, no refund will be available.

How to enrol:

Thursday 9.00am – 8.00pm,
Friday 9.00am -2.30pm
to book an appointment with the Learning & Participation team. One of our advisors will help you to complete the enrolment process and let you know about other service you might like to access.

Please note:
• We require full payment (including any exam fees) to secure a place on your chosen course
• Please bring proof of benefits and address if you wish to claim the concessionary fee
• Places are booked on a first come first served basis
• Please note that you might have to wait for an advisor to be available if you drop in to enrol without booking an appointment in advance
