Volunteering at The Bridge

Volunteering at The Bridge is great way to meet new people, learn new skills and get some valuable work experience in a friendly and welcoming environment. We offer free training tailored to your needs and ongoing support from the volunteer co-ordinator. The volunteer co-ordinator can also offer advice about further training and help you to move into paid employment.

You will be invited in for an informal interview when we will talk about why you want to volunteer and what skills and interests you might have. It is also an opportunity to find out more about what we can offer you

Help out our busy reception area. Duties might include answering telephones, dealing with face to face enquiries and general administrative tasks.

This could involve providing individual support for learners in the classroom, teaching somebody to read or offering individual problem solving sessions with learners who are facing difficulties.

Help to prepare food and drinks in our friendly community café.
